Will I be able to make my changes to my home?
Before construction begins, you will have opportunities to customize your home,
making it uniquely yours.
When will I know when my home will be completed?
When construction of your home reaches a point at which weather and other factors
are unlikely to impact final completion of your home, we will use our best efforts
to specify a firm closing date and will try to notify you 30 days in advance of
your home's final completion date.
When will I go on my "walk-thru"?
About two (2) weeks before you home's completion, you will be contacted to schedule
your New Home Orientation (walk-thru). The walk-thru usually takes place a week
prior to closing so that any listed items can be completed in time for closing.
Who is responsible for completing any incomplete items listed from my walk-thru?
We have professional "detailers" who work under the supervision of the Superintendent
who are responsible for completing all items on the punch list that was created
during your walk-thru. On the day of closing you will review the items and sign
off that they have been completed. If, for some reason the repairs cannot be completed
in time for your closing date, you will be contacted for an appointment for access
to your home to compelte those repairs.
When and where will I go to sign my closing papers?
Once your loan is approved and your closing date is approaching, your escrow closer
will contact you to schedule an appointment to sign your closing.
When can I move in?
Once your loan is approved and a firm closing date is set, you can plan an actual
date to move in. Because closing usually happens in the afternoon, it is important
that you plan your move for at least the day after the closing date.
Where will I get the keys to my new home?
Once the closing date has been confirmed, your Superintendent will contact you to
set up a time where he will meet you at your new home and give you your keys.
What is the benefit of using an approved lender?
While many lenders will have requirements such as construction being completed in
the entire neighborhood or a certain percentage of the homes in the community being
sold before they will approve the project for lending purposes, an approved lender
waives all those requirements. This reduces the hassle and stress for you and reduces
the cost to us. We pass these savings onto you through lower home prices
How do I get warranty service on my new home?
At closing you will receive a home maintenance manual which has a complete discussion
of this topic. Both emergency and non-emergency situations are listed to help guide
you.
