I am sending you this message to express my sincere thanks for the wonderful experience our family has had during the planning and construction of our home at Suncadia. In looking back at the overall experience, I can honestly say that there is not a single thing that I would change.
During the pre-construction phase, I had the opportunity to meet with many of the builders at Suncadia. While I am sure that many are successful in building beautiful homes, I did not experience the same level of straight-forward honesty, realistic expectation setting and focus on making our home perfect for our needs that I did from my first meeting with Steve Jewett. I found Steve to be uncommon among the various builders we met, both in his level of commitment to doing things right but also in his personal commitment to making sure that our expectations were met. As I have come to understand as an uncommon experience from many of the other home owners at Suncadia, our design, approval and permitting process was all completed according to the schedule that Steve laid out during our first meeting and most importantly, we were very happy with the outcome.
As we moved from the pre-construction to the construction phase, I was initially concerned that the level of focus from Steve and his team would not be the same. This was not the case. Steve continued to be actively involved in the construction process, calling me at regular intervals with updates and checking in to make sure everything was moving along correctly.
During this phase, Andrea Forbush became our Project Manager, helping us with the coordination of various selections, finalizing design elements and managing the overall construction. I cannot imagine a better person to have managed the construction of our house. Andrea was excellent at understanding our design tastes and leveraging that knowledge to help us through the selection process. Most importantly, she is one of the best organized people I have met. She always knew where we stood against the schedule, what decisions needed to be made and how we were progressing against our budget. Andrea also took a personal interest in making sure our home met our needs and that we were getting the best value for every dollar we spent. She was always willing to go the "extra mile" and made herself available in the evenings and on weekends to accommodate our schedules. Given that we were not able to visit the house often during the construction process, it was a great comfort to know that Andrea was there to make sure that everything would go according to plan.
Our onsite Superintendent was Brian Crace. From our first meetings with Brian at the site, we saw the knowledge, drive and commitment to ensure that our house was constructed to the highest standards. During all of our discussions, he was straight-forward and honest, never committing to something he couldn't do and routinely over delivering to what he had said he would get done. I have a tremendous amount of respect and trust in his work.
It has been several months since we completed the move-in to our house. As we spend more time up at Suncadia, my respect and gratitude for the work your team performed continues to grow. The house they constructed has turned out perfect. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are amazing. It has met or exceeded every expectation. As I share my experiences with others, both up at Suncadia and elsewhere, I have come to understand and appreciate that while a common experience in my interactions with all of the team members from Bennett, the level of customer focus, commitment to doing things right and meeting/exceeding expectations is not common elsewhere.
You have succeeded in forming the perfect team up at Suncadia. From Steve to Andrea and Brian, I cannot imagine better group of individuals to trust with the construction of our house. Thanks again.
