Some $9,000 worth of new play equipment at Bothell's Cedar Grove Park will be dedicated at 4 p.m. today.
The toddler play equipment was funded through a partnership of the city of Bothell, Bennett Homes and Centex Homes. The companies, both named builders of the year in 2005 by the Master Builders Association, each donated $2,500, and the city provided the balance.
Ice cream and other treats will be given away as part of the ceremony, added Joyce Goedeke, city of Bothell public-information officer.
The 13.75-acre park is at 22414 Ninth Ave. S.E. in the Snohomish County section of Bothell and is the second park in that area of the city, joining Stipek Park, which opened in 1999. Cedar Grove Park opened in April 2005. The park has 10 acres of protected wetlands, plus a basketball court, one-acre playfield, parking, a playground, picnic shelter, restrooms and walking trails.
